There seem like a lot of changes to the build instructions for obs-studio in the recent major version release.
A list of changes that I needed to make in the SBO current SlackBuild:
CEF_ROOT
directory changes to cef_binary_6533_linux_x86_64
.xz
rather than bz2
.-DBUILD_BROWSER
is now -DENABLE_BROWSER
.-DENABLE_WEBSOCKET=OFF
. I don’t think I used websocket support anyway. Hope I don't need it because this is annoying dependency.Draw plugin for #OBSStudio updated to version 0.2.1 adding image and stamp tools, adding tablet pressure support, adding windowed support, fixing position of file and color dialogs, fixing blue starting canvas and fixing drawing starting from top left

Had a bit of an "ah haa" moment with @OBSProject and my Rode Wireless GO II microphones. Finally figured out how to record each mic in a separate track. Turns out you can add the mic TWICE in **Settings **| **Audio**.
Then in the **Advanced Audio Properties** dialog, set both to mono and the balance for one to L and the other to R!
This will make the next recording for @adnug much easier to edit than this month's was.
If anyone is using Meld, how do you like it so far?
For Windows and MacOS, there's a free alternative to OBS Studio now in beta called Meld Studio.

And now it seems that #Flatpak package of #ObsStudio made by #Fedora is the first bad repackaging in the #Linux history.
Well, I had tons of nightmares with Kdenlive repackaged by distros. In "traditional format", only Arch Linux, Manjaro and KDE neon gave me a perfect experience. What about Debian, Ubuntu, Kubuntu Backports and any others? I've never seen this level of loud around that topic.
Sorry if my English is not fully correct.
I think #ObsStudio is fully entitled to forbid Fedora from using its brand, but by other hand I see many people asking a centralized #Flatpak. This is simply recognizing that #Canonical is right about #Snap.
OBS project threatens Fedora with legal action because the 3rd-party OBS Studio package in the Fedora Flatpak repo is broken, poorly maintained, users report issues to OBS instead of Fedora project because they think it's the official package, the Fedora project refused to do anything about it:
https://news.itsfoss.com/obs-studio-fedora-feud/
(This whole software distribution thing is pretty broken on Linux in general, it isn't just an issue the OBS Flatpak on Fedora. There should be some indication for the users if a package isn't maintained by the original devs, e.g. including "unofficial" in the package name. Flathub's approach to verify package maintainers is also pretty good approach. Of course this would be hard to implement in the whole Linux platform because of its fragmented nature but would be nice towards the devs of programs if they wouldn't need to deal with packaging issues they can do nothing about.)
