🎮 Exciting news for retro gaming enthusiasts and Open Hardware fans!

The Open DMG Display project is now live! This open-source TFT mod for the original Game Boy (DMG-01) is powered by the Raspberry Pi RP2350B. Features include dimming, palette switching, automatic game detection, and more. All files are available, making it fully open-source and open hardware. Check it out and bring your Game Boy into the modern era! linkhttps://www.embedded-ideas.de/posts/250417_open_dmg_display/ #OpenDMGDisplay #GameBoy #RetroGaming #OpenSource #Modding #RP2350B #OpenSource #OpenHardware #DIY

These boards came out really nicely. One small booboo on the rear side with an inadvertently phallic rework... but aside from that, they'll be delivered to a happy customer tomorrow.

If you didn't see the original post, this is an open hardware 16x 2A output hat for the Raspberry Pi, including a 25W @ 5V power supply for the Pi 5. It's part of the Open Weed Locator, an open-hardware weed detection system for agriculture, and you can find more information here: github.com/geezacoleman/owl-dr

@shauna I want an open hardware home health scanner, where it takes a scan of your eye, tongue and maybe you spit into a vial (and urinate?), and then it gives you a fast diagnostic on where your levels are low.

Your low on magnesium today, take 2 tablets and eat a handful of almonds.

No i dont want some corporation to develop this to advertise to me and sell my data to an authoritarian state.

We're exploring ideas and would love your input!

Our current StarFighter laptop (Intel 285H, 64GB RAM, 4K 16" screen) comes in at around £1700 ex VAT.

We're thinking about offering a lower-spec model as well - less memory, a slightly slower processor and a lower-resolution screen - with a price point of around £1200 ex VAT.

Would that be of interest to you?

One of my favorite orgs that doesn't get enough attention is glia, which maintains a GitHub org filled with open source medical devices such as this stethoscope or this otoscope. All their projects are all licensed under the TAPR Open Hardware License. This is in addition to their actual sending of doctors and medical staff to war zones and underprivileged areas.

You can donate to them directly here:
