Sick of those annoying Sign in with Google pop-ups (I never want to sign in with Google)? Here is some Stylus #CSS to hide them.
Note that it uses the :has
selector, which is not on by default in Firefox yet. Enable by toggling layout.css.has-selector.enabled
(the usual caveats about poking around in about:config
apply). #degoogle
@wezm also, disable the feature on your google account here:
@wezm (this does not disable the ability to sign-in via google account, just the stupid popup prompts)
@Aranjedeath @wezm I've always had this permission off since first discovering that serial annoyance. The config on layout.css to TRUE didn't work yesterday and just rechecked google when I read your advice, It is OFF. But Button still appears at my TWIT door. Praying for a cure.
Also, as a basic web coder, can you rec. someone to restore my front page newspaper format on homepg of my site? Messed with code and apps and lost it a while ago. M aka Moo http://comic-strip.org M
@MarIel @wezm oh, the cure is easy, use your ad blocker to block google domains when they are third party to the page you are on. (that way they still work on Google, where you might use them).
I don't know what this second request is, and it sounds like spam, please use the Internet Archive to retrieve old sites.
