@remi Software continues to get worse, and has consistently since somewhere around the turn of the century, if not before. We can do more, faster, but none of it lasts, and most of it can only be "maintained" by replacement.
Powerful work by real computer scientists/engineers still gets published, but gets either ignored or corrupted well before it positively impacts users.
Learning is also getting more difficult, I think; references are getting worse at least.
But, maybe I'm a curmudgeon.
