Xfinity in our area has been having a lot of issues lately. I'm seeing packet loss and high latency. This applies at my house and my sister-in-law's house. Very unusual.

It's probably carrier interconnect problem. I've seen this before when someone had a fiber cut due to a construction, and the backup was not tested before.
