I’m so angry at the news from my former employer.
Microsoft, the company that infamously finds almost every single discrimination complaint “without merit”, can’t wait to hire the eugenicist, likely abusive, thieving TESCREAList prick. Of course they can’t. Fuck you, Sam Altman, and fuck you, Microsoft.
Time to remember the things I learned in therapy about controlling my anger, because wow does this one make me angry. All the people they laid off, all the damage openAI has already done.
All the people they laid off, but here’s a guy who, to my knowledge, is just a VC tech kid and not an expert, who openly follows a “philosopher” who blatantly believes _Black people are not as smart as white people_ and they can’t wait to hire him. Gee, what group of people were hit hardest by layoffs again? I am beyond disgusted by this. I have to go practice whatever shit I learned in therapy to calm down. Every single person they laid off is worth ten of this racist venture capital fuck.

@astatide Here's the thing that made me double take even before considering all that; the way OpenAI fired him made people thinking about the sexual assault accusations from his sister about actions from him might be given more weight...
...Though I thought it was more "He seemed to be pulling a Sam Bankman-Freid" based on the board's statements...
...And somehow Microsoft decided to hire him still? Why so strongly for this one guy?

There were a lot of people in the company allegedly chanting "OpenAI is nothing without its people" in protest of this firing, but...that statement doesn't argue that the CEO was essentially integral on their own.
Like, if he really is all that essential to the team, the board was right to fire him for making stuff a bus factor of 1.
