netbeep - An annoying little Chrome extension that beeps on each network request. Plays different sounds for different request types.
Get an audio summary of your websites performance. Makes you appreciate simple, clean sites and ad blockers :>

Feedback welcome. The sound sometimes stops on slower machines.

@irisnk @combatwombat I need this on Firefox!
@irisnk It’s planned, but might take a while.
@irisnk There it is :) https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/netbeep/
@irisnk
The extension is on Firefox.
Follow the link.
@combatwombat this is horrific.
@combatwombat Pls make firefox port
@combatwombat Love it. It's strangely addictive.
@dlesieur Yeah, feels a bit like those movie computer sounds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhX4EER5BBk
@combatwombat This should be mandatory for every major site's dev team!
@FunkyBob I guess they would just get mandatory earplugs from the marketing team (who themselves turn their office into a rave).
@combatwombat Honestly, I think the best thing for all web app dev teams to do is set their browser to simulate network latency.
Because not everyone lives next door to us-east-1.
@Jes Thanks! It's fixed.
@combatwombat That's really cool!
You should change the link to the Firefox addon page in the Readme to this so it won't be in German: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/netbeep/
@Forcen Thanks! It’s fixed.
@combatwombat I installed this on Chrome which I only use to test stuff sometimes and now every time I forget it's there and am slightly pleasantly startled when it starts going off. Love it!
@combatwombat@hachyderm.io oh my god this is beautiful thank you
