Just in case anyone you know is wondering how to disappear online or adopt radically different digital habits so as to be less transparent or traceable to oligarchical infrastructures, may I humbly recommend

optoutproject.net

and signing up for my mailing list while you are at it.

It’s never too late to

Stay safe, everyone!

@cyberlyra I love your site, may I humbly suggest to revisit the recommandations to move to Mozilla in light of the latest development and point people at @Vivaldi instead? 🙏

@kelset it's built on chromium afaik, but the whole org phylosophy is what makes a whole difference: vivaldi.com/for-a-better-web/ (it does sound like what mozilla wanted to be at some point). Also: vivaldi.com/company/#WeAreInCo @cyberlyra @Vivaldi

@kelset
@cedmax @Vivaldi

yes i typically use a lot of browsers at once for different things, not just one. So i have used vivaldi before in that lineup, and opera, and brave, and straightup nightlies of chromium, and safari, and duckduckgo, and and and... *

but yes I'll revisit these posts now that things are changing....

@cyberlyra Their site hasn't been updated since June.

@cyberlyra instant sub! Thank you for this

@cyberlyra
There's something powerfully ironic about the combination of "how to disappear online" and "sign up for a mailing list."

But then, clearly this is the Irony Age.

I'll have to read this, preferably from someone else's WiFi on a freshly installed browser.

@cyberlyra This is a really great project. Thank you!

@cyberlyra Read your article about "why this site isn't a substack" and I chose Publii too! It's a great tool and I'm glad you're happy using (and promoting) it.
