These new trains accelerate a lot faster than the old ones. Not because these are too wildly speedy, but because the diesel train acceleration curves were very very slow, so the comparison is stark.
Overall, these trains will complete the full SF-SJ route over 20 minutes quicker than the previous ones.

@djcapelis I live less than a block away from the tracks, and while usually you can hear & feel a rumble when they go by, I haven’t noticed anything all day.
@djcapelis I was amazed by the side-by-side comparison of the acceleration. Because the diesels always felt like they were actually accelerating fairly quickly!
