@evacide wow thank you for this!!!

I’m looking at this—

“paid, automated opt-out services like Optery, Kanary, and DeleteMe”

and it looks like DeleteMe is the most cost-effective option for two while Kanary is for three. Does anyone with experience in this space have recommendations?

I know in the US, if you’re registered to vote your address will be public (except in a few states that allow anyone to request their voter record be private, per findlaw.com/voting/how-u-s--el) so how effective are these services assuming I will vote?

@22 It is very hard to compare them because if you pay for more than one, you can't tell which one got your info removed and which did not.

@evacide oooh good point, how opaque! I edited my question, forgive me for asking it here again: I know most states in the US make your voter info (including address) public once you register to vote, and I would guess these services can’t do anything about that. Does that mean I can’t be registered to vote to have my address actually hidden?

@evacide And it is probably more necessary, since the Supreme Court ruled that any unhinged screwloose is allowed to cyberstalk whomever they please, so long as they don't think they're committing a crime...
