My parents are very sweet and they’re coming to visit us. So far, their bags are full of: spices, my favorite coffee, special soy sauce, shampoo, cereal, pineapple tarts, bak kwa
(My wife doesn’t like the chocolate cereals we get here and prefers a Swiss brand that we can’t seem to get in the U.S., but that is easily available in.. Singapore. It’s her comfort food, so anything for her.)
So if you’re ever going to come visit us in San Francisco please buy good sambal (there is very little good sambal here as well) and Swiss Chocobits from Familia brand.
I’ve found grocery stores selling other Familia products but not this item. Same with Wasa rye crackers: we have the plain ones. But not the ones filled with sour cream that I love.
International foods were much easier to procure in Singapore (available at every grocery store, everywhere)
@skinnylatte is there anything special that they want to take back?
