20 years ago you could make a website using php/python, mysql, html, CSS and JavaScript. And you can still do that today, and that's really cool. Don't worry too much about hype cycles of new web tech

@joelanman I've managed to ride out not learning React completely, so at the time everyone is hyping SSR I'm still SSR'ing like I was in 1997
@rgarner Me too!
@joelanman
Around 20-25 years ago i made around 10 sites with only ttml/css.
No expert. Jeffrey Zeldman was my guru.
Used PageSpinner from Optima, now gone.
Miss the days pages smaller than 10 kB.
Now trying to "relearn" making websites, things have changed.
Can't handle "blocks", b2evolution gone.
I don't like the road Drupal has taken.
Everything is too freaking bloated.
Html/css has developed, not only "relearning" is needed.
Feel a bit lost. Getting old and outdated sometimes stinks.
