Every. Single. Election.

White people, usually white women, get so mad at me for predicting that more white women will vote GOP. I don't argue. I just say "Get back with me in November." They never come back in November.

Black folk often know more about how white US voters will vote. But it doesn't even feel good to be right. It's just... sad.🤷🏿‍♂️

And about Latiné men... Latiné voters are not a monolith. And again, most Latiné voters, are white.🙃

@mekkaokereke looking at change from prior election in a single demographic group without looking at other factors isn't illustrative. Harris lost ground to Biden across most demographics. How much of that is economy? racism? misogyny?

The Georgia exit polls and the disconnect on issues looks overwhelming (election security, who can handle race issues or crisis, federal hurricane aid). Foreign policy was invisible. Voting for the candidate, vs. against opponent.

@jonathanpeterson

Harris didn't "lose ground to Biden."

Biden lost ground to Biden.🙃🙂

2024 Biden was polling way worse than 2020 Biden when he handed the reigns over to Harris.

Harris improved with most demographics over Biden, and she did it in only 3 months.

This was a "glass cliff" opportunity, and she almost pulled it off. Phenomenally impressive.

@mekkaokereke Thanks, that's a totally fair assessment and mental reset. Looking at the CNN exit polls more closely latino men swung hugely and Trump winning Gen Z were the biggest surprises.

I really felt like she ran an incredibly good campaign in a super short time. Gaza was a headwind with young people especially POC. In the last month or so much of the anticorporate populism went away for calling out Trump as a fascist. Seemed to cost a lot of momentum. But mostly the economy.
