Honestly the amount of people saying that Chinese people are so nice on RedNote is kinda amusing. I was thinking, just how bad is *their* social media?? Then I went back to Twitter and remembered hahahah

FYI, tbh Americans got lucky with #RedNote - it's an app with a large female base, more like Pinterest than anything. If they had chosen Weibo, whoooboooy. I think diplomatic relations would crumble there and then.
But tbh, Chinese are mostly nice to waiguoren. But they will be mean if you offend them, 100%

@liztai@hachyderm.io@oblomov tbh, despite how stringent moderation is in China, they still couldn't control the insanity on Weibo. So I think it's just the nature of #socialmedia. Relatively, #RedNote isn't as "big" as Weibo. It's one of those "boutique" apps. I hope it doesn't change things lol
