The underlying principle of capitalism is that anyone who isn't immediately useful is garbage to be thrown away.
AI is supposed greatly increase the number of people who aren't immediately useful. As in changing it from "a lot of them" to "almost all of them".
The social contract limits how many people can be thrown away as garbage. AI means we need to greatly increase this limit.
