No, I don't want Hunter Biden to be in jail. My life is not improved either way if he's pardoned or not pardoned. Stop centering him.
I'm centering the 2 million+ people unfairly in prison and jail under racistly applied and excessively harsh drug and weapons sentencing laws put in place by Biden.

There are 8.2 billion people on planet earth. Some other countries are supposedly draconian, and police states.
So tell me why 1 in every 5 prisoners on planet earth, is locked up in the US?
And why most US prisoners are locked up pre-trial?
Mainly for low level drug charges, pushed for by Biden?

You think I care about Hunter Biden?
No.
Hunter will be fine either way.
I don't have time to worry about Hunter Biden. Everyone else is worrying about and concerned for Hunter Biden. He's already covered in love. That's a good thing.
I'm worried about the 50 million y'all don't worry about.

@mekkaokereke As of late, I've been watching some videos in the "Americans are shocked how different the German prison system is" genre.
@juergen_hubert @mekkaokereke For #european standards, US American politics are right-wing (Democrats) and far right (Republicans).
@benchmark @mekkaokereke Europe has no shortage of its own political shittiness.
It's just that "maintaining white supremacy" was not such a massive policy goal when modern European nations were founded, the way it was in the USA.
I mean, take Germany. Is there lots of racism? Sure. Is there structural racism? Yup (the German school system is my favorite example).
But when the modern German Constitution was written after WWII, the authors did not think about "How can we uphold White Supremacy?", even though many of these people were probably racist. Thus, Germany lacks many of these structural underpinnings of white supremacy which are so common in the USA. Such as the many, many ways the US election system can screw with minority voters.
@mekkaokereke meanwhile, prop 36 passed.
@mekkaokereke I don’t care about Hunter Biden at all, and I’m mostly resentful that I even know his name. Prisons everywhere I’ve ever been are all terrible in both concept and execution. But when people outside the US look at the US prison system, we just see slavery. Same people in the same chains for the same reasons making the same people rich. It has nothing to do with justice.
@rmi @mekkaokereke
Yes, we just see slavery.
@mekkaokereke I am mostly just really surprised that anyone at all is startled by this. The only way I saw this not happening was if Biden won, so the moment he stepped aside I took it as given, though I expected it to be a mid Jan one, not dec.
I figured in July that was what would happen, commented on it to friends, and just thought about other stuff. Maybe this is the start of him doing a lot of other stuff? Not sure.
@mekkaokereke But the media make it so EASY to care about Hunter Biden! Doesn't that count for something! lolz
@mekkaokereke Ding, ding, ding
