Modern macOS still supports resource forks and creator/type metadata. I wanted to preserve them when importing into Infinite Mac, but web APIs have no way of getting at this data.
I realized that .zips created by the Finder do preserve this data, so while it's a couple of extra clicks, you can now bring in files that you've been dutifully bring from machine to machine for the past 30 years.
