What could contribute more to government efficiency than securing lucrative contracts for your crypto donors to implement inefficient technology that is uniquely suited to solving problems you don’t have?
@molly0xfff
How many days is that? I'm surprised it took that long...
@molly0xfff alternative title: Blockchain Still Looking For a Problem to Solve
@molly0xfff All these billionaire fucks have that same upside down "grin" that says clearly
"are we really fucking getting away with this shit? Holy fuck...holy shit...ok...be cool"
Fuck them all.
@MaxPow3r11 Oh snap. It is an upside down grin. Do we call this “smug”?
@molly0xfff There was I thinking the silver lining of AI hype was the death of blockchain hype.
@molly0xfff Using blockchain for Social Security payments means the recipients will be dead before their first payment goes out. Think of the savings!
@molly0xfff Have to completely agree here…
@molly0xfff death pool: USD BTC or Trump?
@BillyRockman @molly0xfff human lives are finite, human greed is infinite, so Trump first. USD is kind of sort of almost backed by something, BTC is only worth something because people keep pretending it is, and the human imagination is limitless, so USD next. Then, one day soon, the last human alive will be telling the bear that is about to eat him that his Bitcoin wallet is worth 10,000,000 smaller animals. So humanity and bitcoin will tie for last (first?)
@ericspittle I'm betting heavily on the bear

“Stablecoines are only a small part of the crypto space by market cap. But their fungibility gives them a dominant role in transactions. In this respect they serve a similar role to eurodollars in global trade finance.”

@molly0xfff
Okay, this proves he does not rise above #BuzzWord level.
@molly0xfff Given the wildly variable and aging accounting and finance systems sprinkled across all these government agencies, good luck connecting them all to a technology they were very much not designed to anticipate.
@molly0xfff Him and Trump are a threat to national security.
@Luna @molly0xfff: International security as well.
@molly0xfff The private sector has yet to achieve greater efficiency by using blockchain. But hey, maybe the government will do it better, sure.
@molly0xfff I've been a software engineer too long to believe the solutions are in fact suited to solving the made up problems they were made to. I think they just make up that too.
@molly0xfff Department of Grift Efficiency
Fucking idiot Elonia falls back on buzzwords cause it all he knows...
Dumbass has no clue/concept.
For fuck's sake! SOMEONE put a foot in his arse and call it a day!
@molly0xfff To update the classic Jamie Zawinski quote: Some people, when confronted with a problem, think “I know, I'll use the blockchain.” Now they have two problems.
@molly0xfff this is sad, he's a couple years too late to the "everything blockchain" fad
@molly0xfff using a public block chain to track government spending versus what ?
@molly0xfff Cryptocurrencies and blockchain, developed to secure the trust of money where it has nothing to do with power, are being adopted by the US government to improve the efficiency of public utilities? It doesn't make any sense to me at all.
@molly0xfff it's extra ironic since we know from musks leaked dms that he hates crypto
@molly0xfff largest ever government-backed rugpull in 3... 2... 1...
@claudio@famichiki.jp @molly0xfff@hachyderm.io pretty sure trump already did that, days before innurguration he literally launched trump and melania coins, where he controlled 80% of the supply and basically made a few billion instantly lol
@molly0xfff pen and paper, maybe a git instance. Probably hiring professional accountants with a background in large scale database management
@molly0xfff @pchestek For years, the crypto bros have dreamed of the government implementing on-chain smart contracts. It sounds like they’ve finally found their way in.
@molly0xfff Plus elon is doing a lot of FUD marketing for voting machines. He got Texas to bail on Dominion. I wonder what he is up to.
@molly0xfff you won’t run out of topics to cover anytime soon — which is a good thing in only the one aspect that I like your writing. The people you cover… not so much ;-)
@molly0xfff LMAO this has to be the ketamine, everyone has largely dismissed blockchain as a niche use tool that has negligible value.
@molly0xfff Perhaps the government should get into the crypto business as well…
