New injection has been 100% successful in preventing HIV. It could be a twice-yearly shot for PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) rather than taking a daily PrEP pill and could be out next year.

It still needs a second Phase 3 trial, but the results from the first Phase 3 trial are seem amazing.

@LilahTovMoon please I would really like this to happen, taking prep makes me so sick. I've never made it past a couple days of taking it before because of how sick it makes me. Can't go anywhere or do anything when I'm taking it so what's the point.
