i’d like to start organizing mastodon local meetups. meet and greet fellow tooters. #seattle folks: you in?
thinking dec 4th or 5th. TBD.
#seattle toot-up: dec 4th @ 330pm - cal anderson and/or rachel’s ginger beer depending on weather?
@paris I love the idea of a tootup!
@paris this sounds fun but can't come up from Portland on a weekday very well
@paris Schedule permitting, I would be up for that!
@paris yeah sign me up.
@paris I'll be there
@paris That sounds like fun! It's on my calendar tentatively
@paris fortuitous timing! I’ll be in the area wrapping up a conference :)
@paris I'll see what I can do. I could run by in the 5th; not sure what our Sunday plans are yet.
@paris If I'm around It would be great to meet some new folks!
@paris I'm in.
@paris there’s actually a few small seattle-based mastodon instances, and a seattle matrix instance (another federated service!) run by the SeaGL community, too!
Anyhow yes I’m game :)
@paris oh fun. I found a local instance and have been discovering folks. Would be neat to make a meetup near me too
@paris I'm definitely interested
@paris Unfortunately I'll be heading back from Vancouver that day but I hope it's a success so I can go to a future one.
@paris Hello from the Eastside (Redmond). I'll have to chat with the misses on the schedule, but I'd be down. Moved out here about 5 years ago and still know basically no one and even fewer in the security industry
@lllcypherlll woot! bring the misses and let’s hang!
@paris That would work too actually, she's an executive in HR so ya never know. She might actually into it.
@paris Any chance there will be a different word for post, other than toot? To me it sounds like a 2-year old trying to say "tooth".
@paris I hope it goes well. I'd like to join you all at a future date.
@paris sounds fun!
@paris yes, make TootUps a thing! I loved going to things back in the day (Travelling to Seattle might be a bit far for me though :-) )
@paris first hill checking in, could be interested!
@paris fun! Happy to help.
@paris Sounds fun! I put it on my calendar!
