In the first four years of my tech career, I was an implementation consultant. I was paid by the hour, so every time I had to do something I thought to myself “how much money am I not making by doing X instead of working”.
Nowadays, even though I have a full time job, I still think on “how much money this meeting costs” terms and have the same kind of negative feeling when my time is wasted
