Reilly Spitzfaden (they/them)

Hi everyone! I'm a composer & audio developer. I also like fountain pens, mechanical keyboards, software-defined radio, leftist politics & learning new things.

My music tends toward the glitchy, noisy, microtonal side of things, and I like to use Max/MSP and incorporate audio samples from my software-defined radio hobby. You can find my music at my site, SoundCloud & PeerTube:

reillyspitzfaden.comReilly Spitzfaden, ComposerI'm Reilly Spitzfaden, a composer who likes noise, code, electronics, and nostalgia. This site has my music, Max/MSP patches, code, blog, and more.

I also develop audio plugins in C++/JUCE; you can find my code on my GitHub:

github.com/reillypascal

I'm also teaching myself web development, and because I'm interested in the Fediverse, IndieWeb, and open web/free software in general, I'm interested in using my web development experience to get involved in those things down the line.

@Reilly Spitzfaden (they/them) What's your C++ code editor/compiler of choice?

@jrp I use Xcode and clang. Xcode isn't amazing, but it's what JUCE's toolchain is designed to work with for macOS, so it's what I end up using

@Reilly Spitzfaden (they/them) Thanks for that! (Xcode is free, so there isn't much to complain about for such an accomplished program)

@reillypascal really loved your smartphone instruments, for me fiddling with osc/max msp proved challenging at first but it was an awesome learning experience
can’t wait to see more !

@supersash i'm glad you liked it and thanks for listening! Yeah I definitely like trying out new interfaces for controlling Max, and the phones were fun to work with
