@reillypascal i finally have some time at home to reply (and i accidentally wrote a wall of text, sorry!) i really enjoyed this essay! it was really interesting to listen to noise/static/distortion as an intentional part of the music instead of listening "through" it. it makes me enjoying the compressed and nosiy aesthetic of, say, an AM oldies station feel like less of a silly affectation and more of a valid appreciation. composing with samples of radio signals/noise is cool too, (1/5? sorry)
