My analog corner. Film gear and editing desk above and below my record player.
I know the precarious setup will give anxiety to some audiophiles, but I literally have nowhere else in my apartment where I can fit this stuff. Still a work in progress.
It’s a NAD 533, an OEM version of the much respected Rega Planar 2: speakers are KEF Q150, with a Fluance pre-amp and Audioengine amp.
When I’m done with work, I remove the laptop, and put on some records instead. (Usually have a keyboard instead of light table there when in ‘work’ mode)
@skinnylatte How do you like those speakers?
@alex_galt perfect for what I needed (office space and entry level prices); get them around Black Friday when they’re $199. Normal price is too much for these (you can do better at normal prices)
@alex_galt maybe more like 299 during the sale. I’ve seen it many years in a row. So should be a thing
@skinnylatte They’re on my list and Black Friday is conveniently near my birthday. I wish it were easier to listen to speakers before you purchase them. You need a Zeiss Planar to go with your turntable ;)
@alex_galt they’re reasonably easy to sell in the secondary market since many always want them, and or send back to a good vendor. I really like Crutchfield
@skinnylatte I‘ve purchased a few things from them, very helpful people. Their website exudes consideration.
@skinnylatte @alex_galt Is that the cost per pair or each?
@hye @alex_galt 299 for the pair during the sale. 599 without the sale.
