Useless Singapore opposition party: we will campaign on anti-LGBTQ!!

“As far as I know, no other political parties have made a clear stance on this important issue because everyone is chasing after the 'Pink Votes'. PPP is the only political party that is making a principled stance in full clarity. ..... For a nation to survive, the family unit must be a union between male and female. I don't see how any rational voter could disagree with that.”

Fuck off

mothership.sg/2025/03/goh-meng

mothership.sgGoh Meng Seng says PPP will run in Nee Soon, will take firm stance against 'LGBTQ agenda' for S'pore's survivalGoh said Singapore is facing an "existential crisis of an extremely low Total Fertility Rate."

I just don’t see how anti-LGBTQ is a platform for a political party in a country that doesn’t have any LGBTQ rights

It’s not even a good vote bank

@skinnylatte "In his post, Goh pointed out that while the PPP has nothing against LGBTQ individuals, he will have to take a "firm stance" to maintain the sustainability and long term survival of Singapore due to its small population."

*screams forever*

So help LGBTQ people that want to have kids! there are other solutions to this! Gahhhhh

@nirak lgbtq people already can’t easily have kids (same sex marriage isn’t recognized, only birth parents transmit citizenship so only biological women can, courts have closed all other paths to child adoption and birth by same sex couples)… this is not a relevant issue, it’s just hate

@skinnylatte yeah, I get that. they just choose something to justify hate. It drives me nuts about the "low birth rate" argument all over though. It's not like gay folks CAN'T have kids. We just need to tweak society a bit to make it easier. People that want to be parents should get the chance to do so.
