Around here, people will put on t-shirts and fire up their barbecues when it’s above 12°C and not raining

@skinnylatte Oh, we look admiringly to the Northern Europeans and the Russians. They start wearing shorts as soon as it’s above zero, basically.

There's just... I dunno, a kind of funny satisfaction in seeing the absolute horror on people's faces during my morning walks, when they see me in shorts and a t-shirt, waving at them, while they have six layers of thick clothing, and are still cold.

@algernon @slothrop on the other hand, I don’t even break a sweat at all when people find it excruciatingly hot and humid in the tropics

When I was a kid I used to wonder why all the Europeans visiting that part of the world had patches of sweat on their armpits when it’s so plentifully cool
