Here's a theory. What if one of the side-effects of COVID is an ongoing brain chemical imbalance that causes humans to become desirous of future viral infections.

@lydiaschoch @WarnerCrocker There's a virus that breeds in cats that affects the brains of mice who eat cat poop and makes them less scared of cats and attracted to cat urine.
The virus' life cycle is cat eats infected mouse, mouse eats infected cat poop, cat eats infected mouse, etc.
So it's sorta... plausible.
