I had previously changed F12 on layer 4 of my external keyboard to the fn key. Now I've changed it so the right option key functions as fn.

That was the easy part, but it took me an hour to get Karabiner working again. What happened? For a user on an external SSD, authorization must be given with diskutil enableOwnership. So far, no other program has required this.
