@atpfm @siracusa Noticed something interesting looking at the Geekbench scores for Apple Silicon. Apple has been incrementally increasing the clock speed for each generation, and when looking at the single-core Geekbench score, almost all of the gains that the M2 and M3 generations made can be attributed to their higher clocks. (They all score ~760 per 1 GHz at the top end.)

The M4 family is the first major improvement from that, however: these score ~890 per 1 GHz, based on current data.

@atpfm @siracusa If you look at the iPhone Pro scores over the last few years, there's a similar major jump with the A18 Pro's performance per GHz. Whatever they've done to improve the performance of this latest generation of P-cores is really amazing.
