@zmitchell OHHHH... I spoke at LinuxFestNW last year about Nix, and have been wanting to give another one.
I imagine the talks here are for people already Nix aware, rigth?
@codemonkeymike we actually accept talks for all skill levels and you can indicate that on your submission. So if you want to give a complete beginner talk/workshop, that’s fine, and if you want to target Nix-aware but not Nix-adept that’s also fine!
@zmitchell love it. My previous talk was "5 reasons to love NixOS" aimed at a general Linux audience that wanted to know why people are nix crazy.
But I've also been thinking about giving a talk about using nix to build a bulletproof, maintenance free OS for kids, friends and other basic users.
I'll get something together
