My night flight was a success. Launched shortly after sunset and flew to Wausau (KAUW) and past the ski hills. Then a jaunt back with a 30 knot tailwind making the return trip a lot faster.

@Aut That's why I would have been really interested in NFQ and could just shrug at our instructors who kept saying "useless and dangerous". I would have done it just for the views. 🤩 Unfortunately (or luckily) nowadays I almost exclusively fly that one vintage taildragger and that is "VFR DAY" only. So it that sense it would have become kinda useless for me... 😂
