What news and commentariat are missing is massive opportunity DeepSeek has opened for open source and, the open movement. Too much is framed as #US vs #China and race for #AI. Too much is framed on DeepSeek training a powerful model on fraction of compute for fraction of cost means all large companies spending big bucks on #NVIDIA gear and training will be undercut.

@BenjaminHCCarr I think AMD just released a really complete OS LLM that best works with their GPUs. Interesting stuff happening in FOSS-Land.
