Good morning from Storm Éowyn. It is extremely noisy and we have lost power twice. A very large evergreen looks like it may be about to come down in the car park.
Currently watching very worriedly as a neighbour verrrrrry slowly gets into his car to move it from under the very precarious tree, currently held up by a hedge alone.
Buddy. That tree is coming DOWN. Please hurry.
The neighbour is safe. Tree still holding up. I really hope it doesn't come down. It might hit the central building. Apparently about half its root system is fully out of the ground.
Power outages here in the north. Ours is actually back on for now...
Well, looks like the only real damage to me and mine is that my brother lost most of his back fence. The tree at the back of our place is basically being held up by the hedge so I don't think it'll fall now, it'll just need to be removed professionally.
Sun's out now. Half-considering a sneaky walk down the towpath to see the damage, if the wind dies down a bit more.
