Everyone. We really need to bring back app icons that are not all the same shape. Look how much easier it is to find the app you need on the first image (Windows 11) because icons have different shapes versus the second image (Android) where all icons are squircles. #UX #UI

Google is the worst. not only are all of their icons the same 'theme' - but they make it worse, since *sometimes* the app is "Google AppName" and other times, just "AppName" - so you can't find it alphabetically nor by quick icon differentiation :-(

@carlt4 true! It's so annoying. To work around it, I opted to just group all Google apps manually, but that's another layer of effort I'm going to dig through and sometimes I don't have the time or energy for it. So annoying.

@teacherbuknoy On Android, I use Nova Launcher* which lets me rename them. I haven't gone as far as to switch the icons.

@carlt4 I've used Nova Launcher before, it was nice.
