Took about a week of steady work to gain feature parity, but I've got SvelteKit generating a static site via Netlify, and Ghost has been replaced.
What a robust community Svelte has. I found backup on nearly everything I needed, from date formatters to icon libraries to the modal sheet I'm using for subscriptions.
It's exciting to have full control over my home on the web:
Most of all, much love to @collinsworth for this BEEFY implementation of a blog-style static site generator in SvelteKit. Without that excellent starter, I would never have figured out the details of the markdown conversion, pagination and prerendering.
(any bugs and jankiness are of course my own; I remain enfeebled by JS and the web generally, but I'm excited to have something substantive to sharpen my saw against)
@danilo Loving the blog. Could you add h-entry /h-feed microformats so I can subscribe in my reader? https://indiewebify.me/validate-h-entry/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fredeem-tomorrow.com%2Fwhat-if-bill-gates-is-right-about-ai
@KevinMarks try it now!
