Chugging along from Shrewsbury to Harlech today with the Welsh countryside rolling by – a three-hour rail journey that's as scenic as it is serene. Here's a glimpse of my mobile office on the move. Keeping it compact and productive! How do you set up your workspace when travelling?
Marvelling at the vistas en route to Harlech, but the highlight is going to be the stunning Barmouth Bridge. Spanning 820 metres, this wooden wonder isn't just the longest timber viaduct in Wales, but also one of the most venerable still in regular use across Britain. It originally opened in 1867. I'm really excited!
Pausing in Tywyn, a moment of stillness on the single-track Cambrian Coast Line. We're awaiting the passage of an oncoming train, embracing the brief interlude to appreciate the charm of this remote station.
@edward Is the laptop stand worth it? I’ve always considered it but was never sure if the bulk was worth carrying.
@mholiv Good question. It's a really tricky call. If I'm using the stand I need the keyboard and mouse as well. I didn't take them to Brussels or Barcelona because I was trying to minimise weight. But for this trip I decide to bring them, and so far I think I made the right decision.
