Idea: blog software that publishes a single post to ActivityPub as a threaded sequence of (author-selected) segments / excerpts.

Let’s people boost specific bits — an advantage of threading — while still presenting the longer form piece as a unified whole.

@inthehands I'd guess you'd map each segment of the article to a Note in the activity-streams spec. The problem is that on other clients (such as Mastodon or Pleroma's frontends), it will just be seen as a string of individual notes, so pretty much the same as bird-site, no?

@Gopiandcode I’d be fine if it showed up exactly like a hand-written self-reply thread in Mastodon, complete with 1/n etc.
