Steve Harvey is funny, but the questions are designed to elicit the cringiest sexual answers out of little old ladies, so Steve can guffaw and mug for the camera. Dawson was just there to show the questions, and kiss the ladies. (Which was also cringey.)
Christ... I haven't actually seen a Dawson era Family Feud since the 80s, so I was just going off memory. But I'm now two episodes in, and the way he kisses every woman every time is making me uncomfortable.
Some of the kisses feel a little non-consensual, like the woman felt she had no choice but to go along with it.
