Beyond #HomeAssistant or #OpenHAB acting as a glue, are there other open source projects for specific discontinued tech?

@rwwmike The originator of FontAwesome left and forked the project when the corporates moved in, but admittedly the original is still available (you just have to pay pay pay to use it).
