@evan I think having some basic knowledge of how computers work is healthy for understanding things like how platforms use your data, what algorithms do in the background, how info/disinfo propagates and how these things affect your life in general.

So I put qualified agree. I don't necessarily think people need to learn how to code to any significant level. Still, I think it should be an essential part of education today, if only so that people can make educated decisions.
