You probably can’t get Malay style soy sauce easily. Really any soy sauce should work, and maybe Thai Golden Boy sauce would work similarly. Or Indonesian ABC brand but make sure it says ‘asin’ (salty) not ‘manis’ (sweet). I’ve seen Thai and Indonesian stuff at many markets, but not often Malaysian ones
