The story itself is bad: it's basically corruption offering a friend a very influential position affecting us all.

But there a detail in it very puzzling: Johnson faced "financial difficulties" by the end of 2020. The man reportedly is wealthy and as PM was paid handsomely and had basically 0 upkeep costs. Why the heck was he in financial difficulties?
