It's going to be impossible to replace the birdsite, and that's probably a good thing. Instead, we get to choose which communities we want to be part of, and we can control what content we're exposed to. In some ways this new place is already more valuable than the old one.

@aristeon Sure, and that's a very good point. But I would argue Twitter was always going to turn into something driven by money and "engagement" regardless of the quality of discourse. That's the part I don't believe will be reproduced here.
