Ich habe ein #Lockpicking Übungsset geschenkt bekommen. Dabei waren drei Übungsschlösser. Nun stellt sich mir die Frage: was für ein Schloss ist das? Wofür ist diese Metallschiene die da raus guckt? (Also wenn es ein echtes Schloss wäre, wie nennt man es und wie wäre es verbaut?)

2) won't copy my Schlage bump key. Booooo!
Anyone know how to pick luggage locks? Specifically the drawer bar lock on this. I have one, its very cool. But its locked and I would like to use it. The cylinder just turns around and around, there doesn't seem to be anything to rake. Short of jamming a big screwdriver in there, I dunno. #lockpicking (edited to add hashtag)
My most opened lock model is most likely the Abus C83N, and I never made a picking video of it. Until now

And that's my first disc detainer lock! Just a cheap lock to start, moving on to more difficult ones before I tackle an abloy.
Key management is a complex problem...
(The side effect of learning lock picking is acquiring a big pile of locks to practice on, these keys are purely for practice locks, I'm not sharing a photo of keys to anything I care about).
Werte FediBubble (speziell die #lockpicking FreundInnen): Kennt ihr in #Wien einen zuverlässigen + günstigen #Schlüsselmacher? Nachproduktion eines Haustorschlüssels wäre die gesuchte Dienstleistung.
Meine Erfahrung war bisher, dass sie entweder Mondpreise verlangt haben oder die Qualität mies war. Im Worst Case sogar beides...
Ich habe einen ganzen Satz an ABUS-Vorhängeschlössern, die gleichschließend sind, bei der ich aber keinen Schlüssel, sondern nur eine grobe Idee der Schließung habe.
Gibt es per Lockpicking o.ä. eine Möglichkeit herauszufinden, wie der Schlüssel aussehen müsste, um anschließend die Schlüssel nachmachen zu können? Einige wenige der Schlösser sind gerade zumindest offen und wenn ein einzelnes davon zerstörungsbehaftet komplett zerlegt werden müsste, wäre das auch ok.
Eigentlich möchte ich die Schlösser schon behalten, da es in der Menge auch der komplette Ersatz etwas teuer wäre...
Kann mir da jemensch helfen, an eine Vorlage für einen Schlüssel zu kommen?

The wrench method is funny. Tried it previously on some old padlocks i had with no success, but this brittle little thing popped right open with almost no force. You can see how it broke through the side.
Your luck will depend on how tough the lock is.
